I almost feel like I’m cheating with today’s blog post — I’ve barely got to THINK about the subject matter: today is election day ‘08, and it’s a beautiful fall day, and with a slight modification to my “Obama ‘08″ bumper sticker (which is in the rear windshield of my car, because bumper stickers? NO WAY, not on my baby.), I am proudly saying that MY VOTE COUNTS. …Even if it doesn’t really count, GET OFF MY BACK YOU CYNICS. (Tomorrow, I will once again join your ranks, if the result of today’s election is unfavorable. Talk to me then, jerkfaces.)

Anyhow, between being able to cast my vote for someone I truly believe can make a positive difference for this country (and let’s face it, kids — whether you support Obama or McCain, this country’s been in the crapper lately. …Crapper? Who coined this disgusting phrase? And why am I now using it? The world may never know.) and getting some good news at the doctor’s office this morning (good news for me, anyway, the hypochondriac), November 4th is turning out to be the best/most memorable day of 2008. So far. …And I’m actually fine with the rest of the year being so boring as to let November 4th keep that title. Just sayin’.

So now that my venti nonfat chai (!!! celebration!) is officially cold, and now that I’ve officially blogged for the third day in a row (holy. CRAP.), I’m off to do other things… Namely, totaling the donations for Project Dragonfly’s Breast Cancer Awareness “Lightning Round,” setting up the donation page for the Sterling House food drive, and giving a piece of my mind to WFNblahblahblah, because THANK YOU Victoria’s Secret, but in addition to your NOT closing my credit card account like I was assured you did TWO YEARS AGO, there are no new charges in the last month. SO STOP CHARGING ME.

Ugh.

So enjoy your Tuesday, guys, and get out and vote! (For Obama, preferably. I’ll just be completely ‘Netiquette-less and say it. FOR OBAMA.)
