Well, I DID last 20 days…

So, see?? Twenty days out of thirty is a whole two-thirds! I guess, by that reasoning, NaBloPoMo wasn’t a total fail.

I woke up on Friday morning in one of those patented “OHMYGODSOMUCHTODONOTIIIIMEANDOHGODHOWOLDAMIALREADY?!” -style panics. (Fun!) I hadn’t been sleeping very well, and I just felt so much pressure to be productive! and get everything done! and Good Lord — you have NO IDEA what the to-do list in my head looks like. I mean, generally? My head is a pretty scary place to be, but this to-do list is the like the Boogey Man in my mental closet. It’s like a Bucket List, BUT IT STARTS TODAY. And it’s loooooong…

Anyway, I was looking at a very busy Saturday (my only day off) and a completely disjointed and packed Sunday to start off my holiday week, and (after a few moments of rocking back and forth in my chair) (Just kidding.) (…Kind of.), I made the necessary decision to take a few items out of the mix, namely NaBloPoMo and a dedication ceremony (bummer) for the Habitat house we worked on a couple of times over the summer. I had to bake a few things, and oh hell, I cheated: cookie dough from a friend’s daughter’s school fundraiser and Hodgson Mill cornbread mix. They will eat it AND THEY WILL LOVE IT, dammit.

I need to get moving, here, before I’m late for my ridiculous Sunday plans (ie: work, project, more work), but I wanted to mention a couple of things:

  1. Project Dragonfly CT’s Fall Food Drive is wrapping up in the next couple of days, so if you’d like to donate, please get in touch. Use the link to the website to donate money through PayPal.
  2. I’ve installed a plugin that allows you to “subscribe” to the comments left on discussions you participate in. Which basically means you’ll know when I — or someone else — responds to a comment you’ve left. (That’s a “yay” in my book.)

Happy Sunday, all!
