Oh well, sayonara! As Alicia said this morning, “Don’t let the door hit ya where the good Lord split ya.” And while I don’t generally find myself working that phrase into my daily life, I really believe that it deserves more of a place there, and why not start using it today? Not sorry in the least over the end of the Bush Regime.
Onto tastier topics!
I’m taking a few moments, here, to update while my hair dries (is that a ridiculously long process for anyone else?? Krist.), and it occurs to me that while I briefly mentioned making a birdfeed bagel, I don’t think I ever reported the results. Well, they’re simple…
The finished product looked like this:
After that wily squirrel I saw poking around the base of the tree waited until I’d moved from the window to perform his Stealth Manuever, it looked like this:
Damn wily squirrels.
Oh well. At least some small creature ate well as a result of my efforts, even if it wasn’t a bird. (See the rest of the photos here.)
So I’m off to throw some cookies in the oven, and get on with my Monday. Happy Martin Luther King, Jr. day, everyone! It is truly a special one this year. :)

My hair takes forever to dry. Years ago I stopped blowdrying it because (1) it took too long and (2) it makes my hair’s volume grow exponentially.
I was wondering if you could tell me how you made the birdfeed bagel. I’d like to try!

For the record, my hair takes FOR-EVARRR to dry. Even if I’m attempting to dry it with the hair dryer. Which makes me less motivated to even attempt to do my hair. Meh.
